2014 Dinners -- updated February 28, 2014
Due to bad weather or a lack of ramps, some dinners have been canceled or had date changes in the past. So please contact them if you are traveling a long distance.
April 19. Pickens Ramp Supper. Last year's info: 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. American Legion Hall. Ramps, ham, cornbread, beans, fried potatoes, applesauce, cole slaw, and dessert. Sponsored by Pickens Post 122 American Legion. $12 for adults, $5 for children under 12. 304-924-5813.
76th Annual Feast of the Ramson, Richwood, WV
April 26. 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Richwood High School. West Virginia's oldest Ramp Feed. 76 years! Last year's info. There will be live music, entertainment, an Art and Craft Show (in the Red Gym and the High School Gym 9:30 A.M.to 4:00 P.M.), ramp dinner, and Our Second Annual Ramp Recipe Contest! Camp Caesar Ramp Dinner, Camp Caesar, WV
April 26. 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Price to be determined. Take outs available at door. Our menu includes: Fried Potatoes, Eggs, Bacon, Ham, Brown Beans, Ramps, Cornbread, dessert and drinks. Location: Camp Caesar Dining Hall. Route 20 North of Cowen in Upperglade, WV. Phone: 304-226-3888.
6th Annual Ramp & Rails Festival, Elkins, WV
April 26. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 315 Railroad Avenue in the Town Square next to the Elkins Depot. There will be various food and craft vendors, and live music throughout the day. Attendees to the festival can vote on their favorite ramp dish. The Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad will be running two one-hour train rides at 12:30pm and 3:00pm. Tickets are $10 and reservations are highly recommended. You can make reservations by calling their office at 1-877-686-7245. Helvetia Ramp Dinner, Helvetia, WV
April 26. 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or when the food is gone. Enjoy ramps, ham, fried potatoes, soup beans, coleslaw, applesauce, and cornbread with desserts and beverages. A square dance with music by the Helvetia Star Band follows at 9:00.
May 3. 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 57th Annual Dinner. Williamsburg Elementary School. Past info: The menu will consist of ramps (cooked and raw), ham, buttered brown potatoes, brown beans, cole slaw, homemade bread, cornpone, desserts, milk, buttermilk, iced tea, sassafras tea and coffee. Probable date May 4. 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The 45th annual event at H.E. White Elementary, 501 Bomont Road. Cost is $10 per adult, 12 and Under $5. They are also selling Ramp Dinner Shirts, $13 for each shirt, Sizes 2X and up are $15. All proceeds go to benefit H.E. White Elementary School!!

Probable date May 4. 11 a.m. til 3 p.m. The Best Stinkin' Dinner You Will Ever Eat will be served by Mount Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Mt Grove Vol. Fire Dept. Dinner Hall, 1671 Slaubaugh Rd. Eglon, WV. Adults $10, Children 6-11 $5, Children under 6 free. Menu: Ramps - raw, cooked and in a unique salad, fried potatoes (Mt. Mt Grove is on Rt 219 between Oakland, Maryland and Thomas, WV. As you look at a map, find where Maryland's southwestern tip fits into WV. That's about where we are. Watch for the signs. From Redhouse MD, take Rt. 219 south for approximately 8 miles to Mount Grove. From Thomas WV, take Rt. 219 north for approximately 4 miles to Mount Grove.
