2015 Dinners -- updated April 20, 2015
Due to bad weather or a lack of ramps, some dinners have been canceled or had date changes in the past. So please contact them if you are traveling a long distance.
Sadly, the Williamsburg dinner has been canceled this year and probably won't return in 2016.

March 7. Doors open at 1:30. Buckhannon Moose Lodge, 25 N Kanawha St. Benefits Inspiring WV, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Buckhannon WV that encourages middle school students to develop the entrepreneurial mindset. They are serving ramp burgers!

April 4. Noon until the food runs out. The annual ramp dinner at the Buckhannon Eagles Club will be held at the club on West Virginia Route 20 North. The menu will consist of ramps, raw and cooked, beans, white and brown, cornbread, ham, fried potatoes, with or without ramps, pickled eggs and applesauce. Takeout will be available. April 11. 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. At the Nestorville Community Building. Past year's info: The dinner will include ham, ramps, fried potatoes, with or without ramps, coleslaw, corn bread, white or brown beans, dessert and sassafras tea. The cost will be $8 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. The dinner is sponsored by the Kasson Ruritan Club.
Valley Head Community Center Ramp Dinner, Valley Head, WV
April 11. 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., unless they run out of ramps before then. Menu: Ramps, ham, beans, home fries, applesauce, cornbread, dessert and drink. $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 11. Carryout will be available.
April 18. 2 p.m. until the food is gone. A family style ramp dinner at the South Fork Grange, 15 miles south of Pennsboro. This is a very popular dinner, so come early and come hungry. The cost is $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12 yrs. The menu includes ramps, ham, potatoes, soup beans, corn bread, applesauce, horseradish pickles, cake and coffee or tea.
April 18. A Fancy Ramp Dinner: Celebrating Spring Tonics in Appalachia. 6:00 p.m. Mountain View Event Center, 2B Billingsly Drive. A Benefit for the New Appalachian Farm & Research Center hosted by Fish Hawk Acres. New Appalachian Farm & Research Center is a 501(c)(3) non profit whose mission is to support the agricultural community's efforts of supporting a local food community for West Virginia. The Innaugural Stink Fest, Huntington, WV
April 18. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Wild Ramp is pleased to announce that the market's first ramp festival, Stink Fest, will take place at its Old Central City location (555 14th Street). The Wild Ramp is a year-round community-supported market that provides a viable economic outlet for local food producers while providing consumers access to locally grown agricultural products.
Stink Fest will feature different ramp dishes from a variety of food vendors including Wedge, Butter It Up, Down Home Salads, and more. While you enjoy live musical acts, games, and samples, you may catch wind of a special appearance by the Stink Fest mascot, Stinky. Raffle tickets for a ramp themed basket will be sold at the market beginning April 4th, with the winner being announced at the conclusion of the festival. There is no cost to enter the festival, everyone is welcome to embrace the essence of the Appalachian hills, and join us as we celebrate the stink!

Shortline Ramp Festival, Pine Grove, WV
April 18. Byrd Center and Park. 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities include a Ramp Taste Off, flea market, vendors and craft bazaar. 5K run/walk registration at 8:00 a.m. Run starts at 9:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. we will have the welcome by Grand Marshall Roy Justice, singing of the National Anthem and raising of the flag. At 11:15 a.m. there will be a Blessing of the Bikes. At 11:15 a.m. the kids area, food and vendor booths will also open. Voting will begin for the Ramp Taste Off. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a ramp eating contest. At 1:00 p.m. the horseshoe tournament starts. At 2:00 p.m. voting ends for the taste off. There is also a large kids area with games and prizes, face painting, and an inflatable bounce house and inflatable obstacle course. There will be crafters, vendors and a flea market. Starting at 11:15 a.m. we will also have a ramp dinner by the Shortline Food Bank (not the Fire Dept as we originally thought). 78th Annual Feast of the Ramson, Richwood, WV

Fifth Annual Ramp Dinner, Colliers, WV
April 25. Tentative date! Last year's info: 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fifth year for this dinner in northern panhandle! Olde St John's Episcopal Church at the intersection of St John's Rd and Eldersville Rd. (Rt. 27). We will have Ramps with Bacon and Potatoes, Beans and Corn Bread. Additions to that will be Ham, Hot Dogs, Ramp Dogs, and Ramp and Sausage Sandwichs with sweet onion and mustard grain marmalade.
We will have drinks and desserts as well and hopefully a few raffle baskets. We are a very small, beautiful church, over 200 hundred years old. 26th Annual Ramp Dinner, Springfield, WV
May 3. Starts at noon. The Springfield Valley VFD, will have a ramp dinner at the Springfield Fire Hall on Springfield Grade Road. Confirmed date. Past year's info: Noon until the food is gone.
